Temenos T24
UX Research & Design
Challenge
Temenos provide the world’s #1 banking software, trusted by over 3000 banks in 150 countries. I teamed up with Mirum London for a concentrated, seven week design process with a view to improving and enhancing 3 core journeys within the banking system.
Method
We began by running a workshop with product managers to introduce them to the design process, as well as identify their joys, pains and unmet needs with the current system.
This was followed by interviews with stakeholders ranging across all levels of the business; from upper management to sales. Insights from those discovery sessions were distilled into requirements that highlighted enhancements to make the biggest impact in the time we had. This was a challenging process due to the time constraints and the fact that these were very technical and involved processes - it was important to gain a detailed understanding of these processes quickly and efficiently. Airtable once more proved to be an invaluable tool for the collection and coding of insights, as well as showing how the distilled requirements linked back to those original quotes and findings.
An iterative cycle of sketching, design and feedback gathering followed, resulting in 3 InVision prototypes showcasing the enhanced core user journeys.
Impact
The refreshed user journeys were received positively, with one of the prototypes described as “perfect” by a stakeholder during their feedback session. The final delivery pack consisted of the prototypes with tour points highlighting relevant rationale and thinking, an HTML export for offline viewing as well as the sketch files.
The client was impressed that we were able to highlight the rationale behind the changes made and that this could be traced back to the original quotes from the discovery interviews. This was particularly valuable for them to be able to communicate the outcome of the project across the larger business.
